TimeandHalfCalculator.com started as a tiny side project when a teammate and I kept miscalculating overtime during a hectic sprint. Everyone had a different sheet, a different formula, and too many “oops” moments on payday.

I wanted a tool that was obvious to use—type your hourly rate, add hours, see totals for standard, time-and-a-half, double-time, and triple-time instantly. No clutter, no ads attacking you, no lock-ins. Just clarity. That prototype spread to friends, then teams, and eventually became this site.

What I care about

• Accuracy first. The math should be right—and obvious. If you change decimals or currency, the numbers adapt without surprises.
• Privacy by default. You shouldn’t need an account to calculate your own pay. I keep data use minimal and transparent.
• Speed & clarity. The interface stays clean, readable, and fast—even on mid-range phones.
• Accessibility. Keyboard-friendly inputs, sensible focus states, and readable typography are non-negotiable.
